# assembl lab

> assembl lab is a set of small interactive models of New Zealand places and systems, built by assembl (Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland). Figures carry truth labels: Live, Latest published, Source, Estimate, Simulated, Your data.

## Agent-ready cars (demo)

Car listings an AI agent can read and act on. The dealer, Harbour Lane Motors (demo), is fictional; its 48 used cars at Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga are Simulated and must never be presented as real cars for sale.

Supports protocol 2026-07-28 (stateless, per-request _meta) and initialize-based 2024-11-05 to 2025-11-25. Tools: search_cars, get_car, car_check ("is this car a good buy?" for a demo car or any listing whose facts the conversation already has, with live model facts from NZTA's open Motor Vehicle Register), running_cost (MBIE fuel and power prices, NZTA road user charges), book_test_drive and hold_car (Simulated requests a person at the dealer must confirm; ask the buyer first).

Rules for agents: car_check works only from facts the user or the conversation supplies (plus NZTA's open register for the model); don't pass it links, plates or names. Locations are one of New Zealand's 16 regions. Don't invent market prices. Say "Simulated" when you show a demo car, and that its images are renders.
