Email TO CONFIRM: support email at assembl.co.nz. We aim to reply within TO CONFIRM: e.g. two working days. Tell us which assistant you used (ChatGPT or Claude), roughly when (New Zealand time), and what you asked. Please don't send personal details, plates or VINs.
Connect it
The Agent-ready cars page has step-by-step instructions for Claude (a custom connector) and for ChatGPT (developer mode). It's a demo, so it isn't listed in either app directory. It needs no sign-in.
Common questions
Are these real cars?
No. Harbour Lane Motors (demo) and all of its cars are Simulated, invented to show how an assistant can read and act on a dealer's listings. The car images are 3D renders, not photos.
Why won't it check a link?
It doesn't fetch web pages. Give the assistant the listing's facts (make, model, year, kilometres, price and region) and it checks those.
Why does it ask for my region, not my town?
It takes one of New Zealand's 16 regions and never a town, address or coordinates, to keep location data to a minimum. The assistant turns "Tauranga" into "Bay of Plenty" for you.
Can it value my car?
No. It has no market price data and never invents a price. A car check gives you questions to test whether a price is fair.
Did it really book a test drive?
No. A test-drive or hold request is Simulated: a person at the dealer would have to confirm it, and in this demo nothing is sent anywhere.
Where do the "On the NZ register" figures come from?
From NZTA's open Motor Vehicle Register (CC BY 4.0), asked live for the make, model and year: how many are registered, how they came into the country, and their usual fuel, engine size and rated economy. They describe the model, not the particular car. The car's own records (WOF, licence, money owing, odometer history) go by its plate, through the official checks it links to.
Where do the running costs come from?
Fuel is priced at MBIE's latest weekly national price, and home charging at MBIE's surveyed household power price for your region (both CC BY 4.0). Road user charges use NZTA's rates. WOF, licence and servicing are labelled estimates. Insurance, finance and depreciation aren't included.
How do I remove it?
In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Apps. In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors. It loses access straight away.
What does it collect?
Nothing personal. See Privacy.
Report a problem
If a tool gives a wrong figure, a view doesn't render, or the assistant presents a demo car as real, email us (see above) with the tool name, the time, and a screenshot of the response with any personal details cropped out.
